Pursuit of Growth was founded to bridge the gap between education and business. Having spent years advising and empowering individuals and businesses in commercial settings, we saw the need to bring it closer to home through a variety of different channels, to corporates, apprenticeships, schools and colleges and parent masterclasses as well as online webinars and courses. Our aim is to provide knowledge to empower individuals to make connections within the world of work.
Rhian Morallee discovered in her daughters an appetite for growth, business understanding and connection to the wider world from a very young age. Using her own experiences, together with a growth mindset, Rhian, in collaboration with her business partner Lindsay O'Neill, has created purpose-built courses to fill this readily-acknowledged skills gap and develop this knowledge in those in education or the early start of their working career. Rhian is very much a "people person," and having specialised in employment law, has an understanding of the need for "essential skills" to progress, to get on with people and to advance in life. Through her role as an In-House Lawyer and HR Consultant, Rhian has gained over 20 years' experience of knowing what employers want, delivering training in this area and is keen to pass on her knowledge to younger generations to enable them to be happier in their choices, aligning their passions and purpose in everyday life and assisting them in being the best that they can be, from an early age - whatever that may be.
Lindsay O’Neill brings over 20 years of experience in facilitating, interviewing and career coaching from within corporate organisations worldwide; having worked in human resources and recruitment in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Her experience is varied and culturally diverse. Lindsay’s facilitation style is highly interactive, engaging and targeted to the age of her participants. She has flexibility, well honed skills and is especially passionate about empowering young people of many different ages and guiding them with their career choices. Whilst coaching them to acquire and fine-tune the skills needed to “bridge the gap” and become “work ready”, she enables them to successfully transition from education to the workplace. Lindsay has a long-standing passion for understanding how people learn. She holds a BSc in Biological Science and Business, an MSc in Social and Organisational Psychology and a Certification in Early Childhood. She is an avid researcher and life-long learner in many areas of well-being and education.

At Pursuit of Growth, we are deeply passionate about nutrition and how it affects mental and physical wellness. Research suggests that what we eat affects not just our physical health, but also our mental health and well-being. Food is one of the most powerful tools we have for feeling well and staying healthy but due to the frenetic pace of life many children and particularly teens tend to grab food or snacks on the go. Good nutrition is particularly important when the body is still growing and developing. Our workshops help children and teens make better choices, more often.
Our Movement Workshops include Pilates, Yoga, Tai Chi or QI Gong. Movement is wonderful for the whole body and provides a chance to exercise the mind and breath. Our Movement Workshops provide a great exercise option for those who prefer non competitive and non judgemental activities. Movement equips us with the tools needed to help us live healthier and happier lives; improving strength, flexibility and posture, providing tools for relaxation and self calming, increasing self confidence and positive self image and developing concentration skills.
The scientific evidence and clinical research that underpins mindfulness is strong and growing. It shows positive effects on several aspects of whole-person health, including the mind, body, behaviour and a person’s relationships with others. Mindfulness can improve sleep quality, increase the ability to manage difficult situations, reduce levels of anxiety and can be especially helpful when dealing with exam stress or seeking to enhance study skills. Mindfulness is being used to improve wellbeing and help you to learn and concentrate better. Mindfulness can be utilised in a number of different ways and this workshop will introduce a variety of techniques from which you can choose one that appeals to you - in a mindful moment to a mindful way of life.
Sleep is vitally important to every human being's health and wellness. The affects of sleep deprivation have a bearing on not only your health and happiness but also on overall performance. Lack of sleep can exacerbate the feeling of stress. Everyone experiences stress at some point in their life (whether personal or work related) but it is how you react and cope in the face of this that determines how you ultimately manage it. These workshops are run by Sleep and Stress Experts and will help, your apprentices and employees to optimise sleep in a way that helps boost mood, performance and productivity; introducing proactive, pre-emptive stress management strategies to reframe and reset even mild stress-related triggers and behaviours and build resilience.
